All The Heterosexual Nonsense is EXPANDING, and we’re very excited about it.

Once a month we’ll be publishing a feature article by an LGBTIQA writer, on any of the topics we usually cover (queer pop culture nonsense mostly). We will pay $300. We are becoming a publication???

I’m really keen to work with all types of writers in the LGBTIQA community - from established to new. In fact, I’ll be prioritising young queer writers who are getting their foot into media and writing - it’s a pretty punishing industry right now, even more than usual, and there are a lot more hurdles for queer writers, especially trans writers, so I’m keen for what little money and experience we can afford to go to elevating those voices.

Furthermore, trans people in particular are currently being used as fodder by the mainstream media for outrage and trans panic style reporting. What we aren’t seeing is trans voices being platformed, prioritised or boosted. I’m keen to get some more queer voices out there!

So yes, if you’re a writer, please send me a pitch. As one of our excellent readers, you’re aware of our tone - silly, pop-culture, comedy, but also news and analysis. Roughly 800-1000 words.
