Introducing the awful eligible straight men of The Bachelorette
every season we are introduced to a bunch of Ryans, Chunces, and Damoooooooos, and they are dreadful and beautiful like the sea
Men! can’t live with them, can’t legally shoot them into the sun out of a huge circus cannon.
I think this current season of The Bachelorette has some pretty decent contestants, although the martial arts intruder who just joined us is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the “heterosexual nonsense I was forced to endure” department. Bless him! Unite us in disgust!
But I was recently reminded of this wonderful project by Melbourne based artist and comedian (and one of my favourite people in the world) Elyce Phillips.
In honour of Sophie Monk’s past season, Elyce has presented us with drawings of the eligible men of The Bachelorette, and it’s literally perfect. Everyone IS a “business planner” (or in this season… sports mentor… what is a sports mentor?).
Anyway, Elyce has kindly agreed to let us share this beautiful project on this newsletter.
“I think my only note would be to pass on my congratulations to all the women on the show wearing suits. They're doing a great job,” Elyce told me.
