Hello my loves! I hope you all enjoyed Selling Sunset (my only real takeaway is that I still believe Christine has never done anything wrong), and I apologise for the large gap where only Bec wrote! In my defence, I shattered my elbow into a thousand fabulous shards.
Anyway, this is just a quick post to say 1) hello to you, and 2) I hope you’re looking forward to our FLAGSHIP recap, The Bachelor, starting later this month and 3) to let you know that I am going to ALSO do some recaps of DRAG RACE DOWN UNDER season 2.
Look - season 1 of DRDU was a hot racist mess, and the idea of the second season actually gave me huge trauma flashbacks. There’s NOTHING fun about having to chase several stories about blackface, racist dolls, and other really crap manifestations of Australia’s culture.
So, why recap season 2? Well, essentially, I did a TikTok about the casting announcement for s2, floating the same feeling of caution, and I was FLOODED with messages about how people loved the queens cast this season. There were lots of messages, spread across all the queens, about how they were local staples to their city or region, and how they were absolutely beloved.
It made me decide to get FULLY excited and support this season, and the best way to do that is to do a little recap for my good Het Nonsense friends.
Also i looked cute at the season 1 premiere, and I am actively angling for an invite to s2.
